I’m selling my Cessna 175 Skylark; It dates from 1960, rough times are 2560TT 80STOH. It has Narco NAV/COMM, Mode C Txpr and has an annual in force until November 2010. It’s on the N-Reg and comes with a fully legal trust through Southern Aircraft. I also have very good relationship with excellent maintenance base who know the aircraft well You can fly this aircraft with a UK PPL in UK airspace, with absolutely no problem.

The Cessna 175 is similar to a 172 but I’m told it has the 182 wing: whether or not this is the case, she cruises at 106kts (120mph indicated) has manual flaps and averages 33 lph (8 USG). According to the pilot’s manual she will take four adults (2 male, 2 Female for the example) and almost full fuel. Given that she has long-range tanks this equates to around four hours endurance with this passenger/fuel combination. 56 Gallon tank gives more than 6 hours to dry tanks.

I have owned and operated the Skylark for ten years, there is no damage history and it has averaged 30 hours per year, less in the last 2 or 3. It had a complete internal re-fit when I bought it, new screen, carpets, upholstery etc, and is in very good condition inside. The engine had a top overhaul less than 50 hours ago (it's still running on straight 80) and whenever there has been a maintenance issue I've always replaced faulty parts with Cessna or TSO originals. No snags on this plane!

The Skylark flies beautifully, much nicer than a 172 with a better field of view and solid handling. A good platform for IMC, she's also a really good touring aircraft and has been an ideal first plane, brilliant for a group.
