Our Group in Plain, simple facts :-
We were a 4 member group now only 2 of us remain
outside parking on grass is £80 pm at Nottingham/Tollerton
Annual inspection cost from £2500 to £3500 A YEAR on average
Insurance for name'd pilots £1200 year
£960 parking + £3500 + £1200 = £5660 per year on average split between 3 members in group it's about £2,000 each per year that's less than £40 per week to own your own share WOW !
Plus your fuel burn and landing fees, not forgetting your bacon butty's and cream cake !
I would prefer a 3-person group TBH I only fly on Sundays about 25 to 30 hours a year, other member only flys about 15 to 20 hours a year and prefers Saturday.
We take the odd trip/ weekend to France, Belgium and I.O.W or Jersey or Cornwell, not forgetting fresh crabs from Cromer and fresh fish n chips.
Fuel is about £2.05 litre and burns about 30L PH
Being a shareholder is not cheaper than renting but much more practical
33% share = 33% ownership and hence a 33% share in the total bills per year and all short falls at the end of the year need to be paid what ever way you dress it up.
I have seen groups doing £30 PH and I imagine the members pay top up every year to Ballance the books very painful
I hope this helps explain in plain text
The benefits of share ownership are huge,
where else could you take a plane away all day and fly for only 1 and half hours at the weekend ?
I love the plane and really DO NOT WANT TO SELL
I am at Tollerton most Sunday's come and take a look
ring for a chat now let's talk about the best hobby a person could have and for just £40 a week
