Avid Flier 7500

SOLD thanks to AFORS

GBULY is a tail dragger Avid Flier and is very similar to a Kitfox. Type A not micro light. One man wing fold, see link to video below.

(357:55 airframe hours) With a Rotax 982 autolub engine (32.30 hours) makes a light but powerful combination. A brand new exhaust with additional muffler has been added less than 5 hours ago. A trailer, a tail wheel and wing supports, prop balancer, new tail wheel spring and set of new plugs. There are some other bits and bobs on the shelf and lots of shell two stroke oil. LAA permit to fly until 12/9/12. Radio M760 microair. Mode C transponder. Was for ?10k now ?7500

My license has lapsed due to demands of work, as I can't fly now she will simply rot in the garage. I'd rather someone else took her on as she is a joy to fly.

During her stay with me she has been kept in my garage which is dry. Flown out of Perth or Fife and the trailer is a doodle to pull. I would, however suggest getting spare tyre. Once at the airport takes about half an hour to setup and about the same to load onto the trailer. Not rocket science and I've created a check list. As a two stroke she starts up really well, on cold days I have a power pack (not for sale) to start her up, when she's warm the normal battery will work like a charm.

Empty Weight 495lb, Gross is 911Lb, to increase to 1020lb a minor mod is required (see attached photo)

Flying is easy, take off is pretty quick and she can land on 400m at East Fortune. Stalls are petty benign but you can feel them. She does need flying with rudder being used, unlike the spam can I learned to fly in. Uses around 20 liters an hour, depending on how you fly.

I did my tail dragging conversion with Douglas Gilmore in Perth, LAA inspector for aircraft checks were done by Tim Rayner, both of whom are thorough, helpful and I can highly recommend.
