We are delighted to have this exceptional Medway SLA 100 Executive for sale exclusively with Wilco Aviation. The Medway SLA 100 Executive is a British ultralight aircraft designed and produced by Medway Microlights, of Rochester, Kent. The aircraft is supplied as a kit for amateur construction or as a complete ready-to-fly-aircraft.
G-TLDL has a side-by-side two-seat high-wing monoplane construction with conventional three-axis control. The wings have unswept leading edges, swept forward trailing edges and tapering chord with a conventional tail. The wing is braced by struts from below of which the wing profile is a Clark Y-type; 100% double-surface.
The undercarriage has three wheels in tricycle formation with the use of compression spring suspension on the main wheels with the added benefit of hydraulic disc brakes and a bungee suspension system on nose wheel. The Medway SLA 100 Executive has a tube-and-fabric construction with composite panels.
Originally the aircraft was designed to comply with the British BCAR Section “S” and the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale microlight rules.
The SLA100 is made from bolted-together aluminium tubing, with its flying surfaces covered in sailcloth. Its 9.7 m (31.8 ft) span wing has an area of 13.8 m2 (149 sq ft) and is supported by V-struts with jury struts. Standard engines available are the 80 hp (60 kW) Rotax 912UL and the 100 hp (75 kW) Rotax 912ULS four-stroke power plant like Delta Lima.
