Pioneer 300 £49,950

The Pioneer 300 is a classic Italian design that is sporty, fast and responsive, yet easy and safe to fly. It will of course need differences training for the prop and retracts. The cockpit is roomy and very comfortable. I bought this aircraft from the original builder. It has retractable undercarriage and an electronically controlled, constant-speed Idrovario propeller. An effective audio and visual warning system protects against landing wheels-up. The instrumentation and equipment fit are excellent – see below. Seats have been re-covered and new four-point harnesses installed in the last year. The sliding canopy offers superb visibility.

100hp Rotax 912 always starts quickly and smoothly. Although the wing is only 25ft span, the Pioneer is very capable on short runways. Currently on the Group A register, this aircraft could potentially be registered as a microlight, subject to BMAA/LAA approval, but please do your homework before viewing. Hangared at Hunsdon, near Harlow, Essex. Permit until September 2024.
