This aeroplane featured in a 1960’s British Spy movie called “Fathom”, many said Raquel Welch in her sex symbol prime makes this movie worth seeing. It’s worth having a look at it for the Cessna 172 flying sequences also!

The sub £50k four-seat market is an interesting place to shop, and the earlier model 172’s of the Reims variety are a good choice. This 1967 airframe has 6455hrs total time, and 1128hrs SMOH in July 1998. At the annual in May 2023, it had good compressions of 71/73/69/71/69/71 and the current owners are aircraft engineers who would be happy to support the new owners if so required. The paint has been refreshed with a white base, and modern decal scheme. The useful load is 776lbs and the aircraft is happy flying out of 500m grass strips with moderate loads.
