Eastbach 'Spence' Airfeld, near Coleford, Forest of Dean is a fabulous and well known hilltop airstrip with spectacular views towards the Welsh borders. The current owners are in the process of selling the field to adjoining land owners, who are not flyers, but are keen to see flying continue from the site. Current airfield users have been offered the opportunity to take on the lease but no one has come forward so far. We are therefore offering the opportunity to someone from the wider aviation community.

The field is approx 25 acres and the 10 year lease on offer from the new owners is based on agricultural rates (IE affordable). There is hangarage for 10-12 aircraft on-site with potential for keeping some of the current tenants if an an agreement can be reached with them.

Please be aware this field is both short and hilly so STOL aircraft only are able to operate from it. We've had Cubs, Taylorcraft, Austers and even an Isaacs Fury along with all manner of microlights based at the field over the years without issue but it's not for everyone.
