COME AND FLY G-CHIP

If you fly from Shoreham, you will probably have seen G-CHIP, a 1982 PA28-181 Archer II in the iconic livery of British Caledonian Airways.

We are now looking to offer 4 or 5 additional pilots the chance to fly her.

The aircraft has recently had a bare metal respray and partial new interior. It benefits from a Garmin 530, Mode S transponder, 8.33radio, single axis autopilot, VOR, DME, etc. It has never been used for training and has been maintained to an excellent standard.

It has less than 3,400 hours on the airframe and around 1,600 hours on the engine. The engine operates “on condition” having been installed more than 12 years ago.

Availability via an online booking system is good and pilots are encouraged to go touring. There is no minimum usage requirement whilst away.

The cost to join the group is £60 per month and the hourly wet rate is £192 based on the Hobbs Meter. These rates include VAT. Flying is invoiced at the end of each month. You may cancel your membership at any time giving 3 months’ notice.

Pilots must have a minimum of 100 hours P1 and, ideally, a minimum of 50 hours P1 on PA28s.
