Great, easy to fly aircraft with reasonable running costs. Rotax 912 will run on Super unleaded, UL91, Avgas, and uses c.15L per hour in the cruise. Perfect performance for Scotland - cruises at c. 90knots, good short/grass field performance, 114L fuel capacity, and 600kg MTOM with around 210kg usable load. In other words it'll happily go just about anywhere in the highlands and islands you're likely to want to take it, and is also capable of longer trips and trips away.
